# October 2026

> New trigger journey events, attribution touchpoints, Salesforce duplicate record linking, custom unsubscribe page, Salesforce sync errors export, org-aware product activity, and website tracking for custom forms and inbound webhooks.

* **New Trigger Journey Events**: Trigger journeys can now start the moment a contact does something, not just when they submit a form or come in through an inbound webhook. In the journey builder, open Triggers, click Add event and choose one of three event types.
  * **Marketing event**: enroll contacts when they open an email, click a link, receive an email, etc. You can limit the event to a specific property, such as journey, email, or link.
  * **Product event**: enroll contacts when they do something in your product, such as "Started trial" or "Invited teammate," using any product event from Segment, Amplitude, or a warehouse connection.
  * **Contact event**: enroll contacts when they're created in Inflection from any source (Salesforce sync, CSV upload, form, or API), or when a specific field changes. For example, Job Title changes to "Director," a lead score goes over 50, or a renewal date moves later.
* **Attribution Touchpoints**: Inflection now records where each contact came from. Under Settings → Attribution Touchpoints, you choose which link tags to track. These include the standard UTM tags (the source, medium, and campaign tags added to your links) and any custom ones you use. You also choose which sources count, such as website visits and Inflection Forms. Each contact then gets three attribution snapshots: First touch, Lead creation, and Last touch. You can see these on the contact, along with a View all touchpoints timeline that shows every touch in order. CSV uploads are recorded too, and all nine attribution fields can be mapped back to Salesforce through Unified Mapping, so your sales team sees the same picture.
* **Salesforce Duplicate Record Linking**: When one email matches more than one Salesforce Lead or Contact, you can now choose which record Inflection links to. Field updates, campaign membership, and lead status are written to that record. A new Person Object Linking Behavior setting in your Salesforce connection's General Settings offers three options: Oldest (the default, same as today), Newest, or Most Recently Updated. This is especially useful if your team keeps duplicate records on purpose. A contact you've linked to a specific record by hand always keeps that link. Keep in mind that the new setting applies to an email the next time one of its Salesforce records is created or updated, not to every contact all at once.
* **Custom Unsubscribe Page**: You can now send contacts to your own opt-out or preference page instead of Inflection's unsubscribe page. Turn it on under Settings → Email Settings → Unsubscribe configuration and enter your URL. Every unsubscribe link in your emails will then point there, in both scheduled and trigger journeys. These links still don't count toward your MMCs. A few things to keep in mind:
  * Inflection doesn't record opt-outs made on your own page, so you'll need to send them back to Inflection through the API, Inflection Forms, Inbound Webhooks, etc.
  * Two-step opt-out is turned off while a custom page is set.
  * Unsubscribe counts in email reports will show 0.
  * The one-click unsubscribe button that some email apps show in the email header still uses Inflection's unsubscribe link.
* **Salesforce Sync Errors Export**: The Sync Health tab on your Salesforce connection now has an Export CSV button. It downloads every sync error that matches your current search and filters, not just the page you're viewing. The file includes the time, email, object, sync type, error message, sync run, campaign details, and whether the error was archived. To export the errors from a single sync run, click its error count in Sync History first. Exports cover the last 6 months. This makes it easy to review errors offline or share them with your Salesforce admin.
* **Org-Aware Product Activity**: Product activity from Segment and Data Warehouse can now record which org (the customer workspace or account in your product) it happened in. This matters when one person belongs to several orgs. Dynamic lists have a new product activity condition, "within an org where…", that lets you also filter on that org's traits, such as Plan is "Free". For example, you can target users who used a feature in a workspace that hasn't upgraded, without also pulling in users who did it in their paid workspace. Keep in mind this applies to activity received from this release onward, and activity with no org attached won't match these conditions.
* **Website Tracking for Custom Forms and Inbound Webhooks**: We've made it easy to link website tracking to custom form and inbound webhook submissions. Include the visitor's tracking details in the submission, and Inflection connects their browsing session to the contact. No extra field mapping is needed.

Smaller improvements:

* **Processing lanes for webhooks and custom forms**: Each inbound webhook or custom form connection is now assigned to a Real-time or Bulk lane. This enables users to keep high priority webhooks (i.e. demo request forms) in one processing lane and separated from bulk update webhooks. You can change the lane in the connection's settings at any time.
* **Journey names in the contact activity log**: Entries in a contact's activity log now show which journey they came from.

The following features are not yet generally available, but will be released over the upcoming weeks on a customer by customer basis:

* **Inflection Landing Pages**: Build and host landing pages right in Inflection. You can start from a blank page or a saved template, or describe the page you want to the AI agent and get a working draft. You can also import an existing page by URL, and its layout, styles, and images are copied over. Ask the agent for changes in plain words, such as "change the date to December 10" or "swap the second speaker." It shows you exactly what will change before you apply it. You can drop in any Inflection form with one click and save any page as a template your team can reuse.
