Connect Inflection to Claude to build audiences, emails, tokens, segments, and journeys, pull performance data, and look up contacts — all by chatting in Claude Desktop or Claude.ai. The integration uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) for secure, streamlined authentication.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, confirm you have:
  • An active Inflection account
  • Access to Claude Desktop or Claude.ai
  • Admin permissions in your Claude workspace (for the initial setup step)

Add the Inflection MCP Server

A workspace admin must add the Inflection MCP server once before any user can connect.

Step 1: Open Admin Settings

  1. Log in to Claude Desktop or claude.ai.
  2. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Click Admin settings. Admin settings menu item in Claude
  4. Click Connectors in the left sidebar. Connectors item in the Claude admin settings sidebar

Step 2: Add a Custom Connector

  1. Click Add custom connector at the bottom of the connectors list. Add custom connector button in Claude
  2. In the dialog, enter:
    • Name: Inflection MCP server
    • URL: https://mcp.inflection.io/
  3. Click Add.

Step 3: Verify the Connector Is Enabled

After adding, confirm the Inflection MCP server appears in your connectors list with status Enabled. Inflection MCP server shown as Enabled in the connectors list

  3. Click Personal settings.
  4. Click Connectors. Connectors item in the Claude personal settings sidebar

Step 2: Find Inflection and Connect

  1. Find Inflection MCP server in the list — it shows as CUSTOM with status Disconnected.
  2. Click Connect. Inflection MCP server listed as Custom and Disconnected

Step 3: Authenticate

  1. A browser window opens automatically.
  2. Log in with your Inflection credentials if prompted. Inflection login prompt in the browser authentication window
  3. Review the consent screen, which shows the app name (Claude), the redirect URL, and the permissions being requested.
  4. Click Authorize to grant access. Consent screen showing the Authorize button

Step 4: Confirm the Connection

Once authenticated, the browser shows “Authentication complete” — close that tab. Back in Claude, the connector status changes to Connected.
The connector is enabled for all users in your workspace. On the first message of each new thread, the agent loads your business context so everything it builds fits your account.

Use Inflection in Claude

The table below shows what you can do and example phrases to get started. Chain tasks in one thread — size an audience, draft the emails, assemble the journey — because the agent keeps context across turns.

Example commands

Campaigns:
  • “Show me my recent campaigns.”
  • “What’s the performance of my last email campaign?”
  • “List all active campaigns.”
Segments:
  • “Create a new segment for users who signed up last month.”
  • “Show me the segment for enterprise customers.”
Templates:
  • “List my email templates.”
  • “Show me the details of the welcome email template.”
Analytics:
  • “What’s the open rate for my newsletter campaign?”
  • “Show me campaign analytics for the last 30 days.”
A good first session
  • “How many contacts opened an email in the last 30 days?”
  • “Draft a re-engagement email for the ones who didn’t, and save it.”
  • “Build an audience of those contacts and save it as ‘Dormant – 30d’.”

Tips

Set tools to Always allow to avoid repeated permission prompts. Refresh the tool list after new tools ship — go to Customize > Connectors > Inflection MCP > Refresh tool list. One build per request. Say “save” when you’re ready to commit a draft.

Good to know

  • Drafts, not activation — activate journeys and sends in the Inflection app.
  • No custom CSS in emails via chat (use the BEE editor in-app); style fields are supported.
  • Some assets are read-only here — forms, webhooks, conversions, and accounts.
