What is an MMC?
Inflection pricing is based on MMCs, or Monthly Marketed Contacts.- MMCs are unique contacts (unique by email address) who route through one or more Inflection journeys in a given calendar month (i.e. August 1-August 31).
- Inflection does not charge for contact database volume, marketable contacts, seats or data volumes.
- Non-personalized batch journeys (i.e. Newsletters) do not count against MMC cap, provided there are no MMC-triggering elements in the batch journey.

Trigger Journeys
Every contact who enters a Trigger Journey counts toward your MMC for that month. Unlike Scheduled Journeys — which are MMC-qualifying only when they include one of the elements above — Trigger Journeys are always MMC-qualifying, because they deliver personalized, real-time follow-up to individual contacts.- A contact is counted as one MMC per calendar month (unique by email), even if they trigger the journey multiple times.
- The contact is counted in the month they are enrolled, when the trigger fires.

Non-MMC Journeys
Journeys that do not meet the criteria above are non-MMC batch journeys.- If a contact is only in non-MMC batch journeys, the contact will not count as an MMC.
- Inflection applies a high ceiling for non-MMC batch contacts. It is typically a multiplier of your MMC cap (see your contract for details).
- The intention is to allow you to consolidate your email communications in one place, while only paying for your highest-value (personalized) emails.
